I wish I could say our meeting was happenstance.
I wish I could say we took one look and we just knew.
I wish I could say falling for him was the best thing that ever happened to me.
But none of that would be true.
Rhett Carson was as cold as the ice on which he skated. He was as calloused as the hands that shot the goals that won world championships. He was also damaged. And broken. And he didn’t know it, but I knew all about him … and his unfortunate connection with my estranged older brother.
I knew why he was so bitter and angry.
I knew why he was so cold hearted.
But I didn’t know why I let myself fall in love with him.
And I didn’t know why I couldn’t stop–even when he told me to.
But when the truth came out, I knew I’d lost him for good … until he came back, more cold hearted than ever before.

Not sure I can overcome so much hate!I'm trying to write this review without sounding like a hypocrite. I'll apologize in advance that there might be some spoilers. Please read at your own risk. I don't think I can get my point across without them. Reasons for my spoilers is because I rely on reviews with mild spoilers. I'm looking for that keyword- cheating. I will not read a book that contains cheating. I am 100% against it. This one does not contain cheating between the H and h. So with that said (and the reasoning for my spoilers)- here is my review: This is my first book where the h chases the H. I was ok with that. It was different. I recently added 2nd chance romance into my library. They've never really been on my radar. I am not a huge fan of the breakup. Unfortunately, this was an ugly read for me. Ayla lied by omission. There was no intent. No malice. No hate. She didn't do it purposely to hurt Rhett. But this book...it was full of hate. Everything Rhett did was intentional. He wanted to hurt Ayla. He hated her. I hated him for that. I did not like Ayla for not moving on. It's different if you don't like a character because he's a "bad boy". But Rhett was another kind of evil. Out of all the books I've read I've only hated 2 characters. Rhett is one. I cried because these characters rip each other apart. I'm not sure how love survives this. It does have a HEA but to me it didn't seem

Cold Hearted eBook Winter Renshaw Reviews
I gave this book five stars. I think the characters and the story were really good and I would recommend it highly.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.
Another hit for Winter Renshaw! Not for the faint of heart, though. I can't wait for her next book to come out.
Amazing, beautiful and an awesome read. Couldn't put the book down. As always me. Crenshaw's book is wonderful as all her previous ones.
I enjoyed every single page of this book.
Thanks hengy etebar
Priceless is very good, but not a favorite of mine. Cristiano and Daphne are wounded lovers, but their romance is not a sure thing.
Cold Hearted is great! Rhett and Ayla have a rocky time, but finally the HEA I waited for in the end!
Locke Hearted is just a sweet short love story with Bostyn and Locke!
I love every single one of Renshaw's books.
From the first page I was absolutely hooked. Steamy, relatable, and romantic, this story creates an escape that's easy to believe in.
Rhett and Ayla overcome push and pulls that most relationships endure, and I found myself rooting for them the whole way though.
Okay. That might be a lie.
I was mad during some parts of the book because, well, cold hearted is right, but even so I loved it. I couldn't put it down. And despite the cold shoulder, I still rooted for them.
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I felt the hurt that Rhett was feeling (the writer really made you connect with the characters) and my heart cried for him.
Ayla's character was just as broken as Rhett although maybe more because her pain was dished to her unfairly at a young age. I know she said she out grew being a door mat but the fact that she allowed Rhett to take his frustration and anger out on her says different. These two were perfect for each other all things considered and although I totally understand Rhett's anger at Ayla's betrayal he was getting on my nerves treating her bad because he wouldn't get the professional help he needed to help deal with his issues. I'm glad everything worked out in the end and I'm also glad Bostyn and Locke may get together can't wait to read that story.
When I read the bad reviews I did not know for sure what to do - to buy or not?! But I risked and bought it. Actually I did not see soooo much hate as was written in the worst reviews. All was okay and actually the plot evolved pretty fast so I did not get bored or tired of hate. I eould say that the book is okay for an easy read and good evening.
